THE DIALECTICS OF THE SYNTHESIS OF COGNITION AND THE TRANSLATION INDUSTRY
Abstract
The article examines the relationship between the cognitive essence of translation activity and the use of technological translation systems within a united integrative translation space, providing a set and synergistic interdependence of internal (cognition) and external (artifacts) components. The concepts of “distributed cognition” and “cognitive artifacts of the translator” are interpreted from the perspective of modern translation studies that takes into account anthropocentric approach along with technical competences of the translator and the special role of intelligent systems. These affect the efficiency of translation process management and create conditions for the formation of the model of augmented translation reality, including adaptive machine translation, translation management systems, neural translation systems and automatic content processing
