ON THE REPRODUCTION OF SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL: THE DEVELOPED TRENDS AND TARGET REFERENCE POINTS

Abstract

In the article, the author raises the problem of the scientific personnel reproduction. Existence of the whole complex of the federal strategic documents aimed at creation of strong scientific base of the coun­try confirms relevance of the problem. The author shows the following ten-year trends: a drop in the number of graduate students (almost twice) and doctoral students (4.5 times); reducing graduation from graduate school (2.4 times) and doctoral studies (3.6 times); catastrophic reduction in the proportion of protected graduate stu­dents (from 28 to 10 %). The author points to the “aging” of the age composition of graduate students and doc­toral students — although the state gives a clear guideline on the rejuvenation of scientific personnel. The author gives a list of dissertation councils of the “economic sciences” industry, including 73 councils, as well as a rat­ing of the top 20 scientific journals (according to the Science Index). The author shows the uneven geographi­cal distribution of dissertation councils. High concentration is characteristic of Moscow. A similar situation is characteristic of scientific journals
