Abstract

The article presents a cognitive model for the representation of the linguistic and cultural concept HERO based on the data of the Russian National Corpus. Conclusions about the national-cultural determinism and subjectivity of the perception of heroic images are made. It has been proved that the hero is a status that is given to a person only if the heroic deeds are evaluated by the public. The opposition OURS and THEIRS in relation to the category of heroic is the conceptual and semantic core
