CURRENT TRENDS IN RUSSIAN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
Abstract
Modern corporations play a huge role in both the world and the Russian economy. Corporate governance is the most important institution that governs corporate relationships. Today we can note a significant change in the course of development of corporate governance in connection with a number of economic and geopolitical events. The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze current trends in the development of Russian corporate governance. The study is based on open access materials, corporate reporting, the work of domestic specialists in the field of corporate theory and corporate governance. The results of the presented work are the revealed trends in the development of corporate governance. First of all, this is an expansion of the targeted focus of companies, environmental and social goals are beginning to dominate the development agenda of modern corporations. As the second trend, the focus on digitalization is highlighted. The third trend of modern corporate governance is the focus on creating its own ecosystems that allow diversifying the activities of the corporation. The fourth highlighted trend is the decline in activity of Russian corporations in stock markets.
