SOCIALLY ORIENTED MODEL OF COOPERATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
Abstract
Agricultural cooperatives make a significant contribution to the development of rural communities, creating additional jobs, participating in improving the infrastructure of rural areas, solving socio-economic, environmental and food problems. Given that the development of cooperation in Russian reality is rather slow, mechanisms are needed to ensure the sustainable functioning of small businesses in a mixed economy. Along with peasant (farm) enterprises, cooperatives are of paramount importance in the formation and development of civil society in the countryside, in the formation of cultural values, in ensuring the food, economic and environmental security of the regions, therefore the task of developing and implementing measures to support these forms of agricultural business becomes relevant. This study was carried out in several stages: the use of survey tools (to identify ways to solve the problems of cooperation development in modern conditions), the analysis of the management strategy for involving cooperatives in the activities of large producers and the analysis of socially oriented models of cooperation. The purpose of this article is to present the main content of the policy of development and strengthening of cooperation in Russia, having studied the details of international experience aimed at using the social functions of various forms of business. The obtained research conclusions, refl ecting the features of the application of the socially oriented model of cooperation, as well as the strategic prospects for its further development, are of great practical importance for the agrarian sector of Russia.
